The Association for Project Management (APM) has announced Amy Morley ChPP as its new chair.

Morley, currently Programme Management Senior Director at AECOM, will succeed Milla Mazilu BEM, who has led the board since 2022. Morley will officially assume the role on 27 May.

Morley will oversee APM’s Board of Trustees, guiding the organisation’s strategic direction and representing APM at key industry events. She will also act as an ambassador for the project profession, championing the value and impact of project management across sectors. Her career includes significant contributions to major programmes such as HS2, as well as roles within the UK Cabinet Office and the BBC.

Morley’s priorities as chair include supporting APM’s international growth, enhancing the value APM delivers to the profession through its strategic objectives and ensuring APM continues to represent all project professionals.

“I am honoured and delighted to be made Chair of APM,” Morley said, “I am passionate about the project profession and it is a privilege to work with our fellow trustees, members, partners and all of the volunteers and APM staff to continue to advance APM’s impact in such a vital profession. I would like to thank outgoing chair, Milla Mazilu, who has done an absolutely amazing job – not just as chair but as a real advocate for APM and the project profession overall. She has given a huge amount of time to the role and will be greatly missed.”
